EBN Columbus

Established in 2014, the Ebony Bobcat Network Columbus is an affiliate of the OHIO Ebony Bobcat Network. Consisting of Black alumni from Ohio University, we are a network striving to connect Bobcats of color across the globe. Our purpose is to plan alumni events and programs to raise money to fund more students of color through college with the Urban Scholars Scholarship.

We support alumni engagement by hosting events that provide alumni the opportunity to promote their businesses, share their stories and encourage others. Our student engagement efforts have included but are not limited to panel discussions with current and prospective students, alumni, university staff; and bus trips for high school students to visit the Athens campus.

In addition, EBN Columbus hosts a college and career fair, an urban beautification project, game night and Building Wealth in the Black Community series.

As the recipients of the Alden Community Service Award during the OUAA Alumni Leadership Conference, we are dedicated to supporting community service efforts and events in Columbus.

Last, but not least, we are fun and engaging! We welcome your ideas and look forward to your participation!

We meet the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Please contact EBNColumbus@gmail.com for additional information.
