The Ebony Bobcat Network Urban Scholarship Endowment
The EBN Urban Scholarship Endowment was created to support and honor the Urban Scholars Program, the legacy initiative of Dr. Roderick McDavis.

Formed in 2010, the fund became fully endowed on April 18, 2019, during OHIO’s first Giving Day. On that date EBN surpassed its $300,000 fundraising goal, endowing its Urban Scholarship Fund in perpetuity, and reaching a significant milestone for an alumni group.
Then in August 2020, EBN and the Office for Multicultural Student Access and Retention (OMSAR) in the Division of Diversity and Inclusion announced the inaugural Ebony Bobcat Network Urban Scholar, Te’aylis Jackson, from Englewood, Ohio.

The EBN Urban Scholarship Endowment is a part of the OHIO Match program, an undergraduate scholarship investment program, which provides $.50 for every dollar committed to eligible scholarship endowments. Every gift received by the EBN Urban Scholarship Endowment will receive this match through June 30, 2024. For example, if a donor wants to pledge $5,000 through June 30, 2024, as long as the gift is honored by June 30, 2024, it will be match-eligible of $2,500. This makes the total gift to OHIO $7,500.
